Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies in border security operations
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines ensuring compliance with federal reporting standards (e.g., OMB Circular A-11)
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for senior leadership using Tableau and Power BI
- Coordinate with CBP, ICE, and TSA stakeholders to align analytical frameworks with operational priorities
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for congressional oversight committees
- Implement data governance protocols ensuring FISMA and HIPAA compliance
- Mentor junior analysts on federal data analysis methodologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal data analysis projects (GS-12 equivalent)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Expertise in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI) and ETL processes
- Knowledge of federal procurement regulations (FAR) and data security protocols
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Experience with geospatial analysis (GIS) and border security datasets
- Certification in federal financial management or data analytics (e.g., CDA, CFA) preferred
