Responsibilities
- Analyze complex veteran healthcare datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for service improvement
- Develop and maintain secure SQL databases ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data findings into actionable policy recommendations
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, FERPA, and federal data security protocols
- Conduct statistical modeling and predictive analytics to optimize veteran benefit allocation
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear, compelling data narratives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience in federal/government sector
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical analysis tools
- Certification in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) or data governance (CDMP)
- Demonstrated experience with federal compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and database management
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
