Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to support natural resource management initiatives
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards including FISMA and NIST guidelines
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Prepare comprehensive analytical reports and presentations for senior leadership review
- Implement data quality controls and validation procedures for federal datasets
- Support cross-functional projects requiring advanced statistical modeling and trend analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in federal data analysis or public sector analytics
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Familiarity with federal data reporting requirements and compliance frameworks
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences
- Active federal security clearance or ability to obtain one
