Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets to support veteran healthcare outcomes
- Develop automated reporting systems for VA compliance and performance metrics
- Ensure adherence to federal data standards (FISMA, HIPAA, 21st Century Cures Act)
- Create interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for executive decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on public health data initiatives
- Maintain secure data pipelines and quality assurance protocols
- Present findings to senior leadership with clear, actionable recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal/government data analysis
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical modeling
- Familiarity with VA systems, VistA, or federal healthcare data structures
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, PII handling)
- Tableau or Power BI certification preferred
- Active government security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with healthcare data analytics strongly preferred
