Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop automated data pipelines for real-time reporting and dashboard creation in Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure strict adherence to FISMA, HIPAA, and other federal data security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for data methodologies, validation processes, and analytical findings
- Present complex analytical results to senior leadership through clear visualizations and executive summaries
- Stay current with evolving federal data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal or regulated industry datasets
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Proven experience with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Familiarity with federal data standards (FIPS, NIST frameworks)
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active federal security clearance or ability to obtain one
