Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and SAS to identify trends affecting veteran care quality
- Develop automated reporting dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for executive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (HIPAA, FISMA) and maintain data integrity protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support VA research initiatives and policy development
- Present complex findings to senior leadership through concise visualizations and executive summaries
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data governance frameworks and analytical methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets
- Expertise in SQL, Python (Pandas/Numpy), and statistical analysis tools
- Proficiency in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Familiarity with federal reporting requirements and healthcare data standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions
