Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets to support veteran healthcare policy development
- Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI/Tableau for executive decision-making
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, FISMA, and federal data security protocols
- Prepare comprehensive statistical reports for Congressional stakeholders
- Optimize data pipelines using SQL and Python for real-time analytics
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve veteran service outcomes through data-driven solutions
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses for VA leadership during critical policy reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in federal data analysis with compliance knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical modeling
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or D3.js)
- Experience with federal reporting systems (VA, CMS, or DoD data platforms)
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and veteran-specific metrics
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Certification in data analytics (e.g., AWS Data Analytics Specialty) preferred
