Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify security trends
- Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations for executive briefings
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with cross-agency task forces on border security analytics
- Develop automated reporting systems for real-time monitoring
- Present findings to senior leadership using storytelling techniques
- Maintain data integrity across multiple government databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience with federal data systems (e.g., DHS, FBI, TSA databases)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy)
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI for executive reporting
- Experience with geospatial data analysis (GIS/QGIS)
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling methodologies
