Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for stakebriefings
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (FISMA, NIST) and privacy regulations
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to support strategic decision-making and policy recommendations
- Document data methodologies, validation processes, and analytical findings in federal reports
- Monitor data quality and implement automated data cleaning pipelines for federal datasets
- Present complex findings to senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis with federal or government datasets
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of federal data governance frameworks (FISMA, HIPAA, PII handling)
- Advanced skills in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
