Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large-scale federal datasets to ensure high data quality and integrity for reporting purposes.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
- Perform statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data findings into clear, concise business recommendations.
- Ensure all data analysis processes comply with federal regulations, security protocols, and agency standards.
- Document data pipelines and analysis methodologies to maintain an audit trail for regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with federal data standards (e.g., FIPS codes, standard data formats) and privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting data insights to non-technical audiences.
