We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Federal Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Anchorage, Alaska. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between complex data sets and strategic decision-making for federal clients. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, compliance, and translating raw numbers into compelling narratives that drive policy and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js to present findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal data security standards, including FISMA and NIST compliance protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and establish best practices for data governance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for government officials, highlighting key performance indicators and risk assessments.
- Perform data audits to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies within reporting databases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis within the government or public sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong understanding of federal data policies, privacy laws, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into non-technical insights.
- Ability to obtain a Federal Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret) is a plus.
