Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and R
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports for VA leadership using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven solutions
- Present findings to executive stakeholders through compelling visualizations
- Maintain data integrity across VA's Memphis healthcare network systems
- Lead ad-hoc analysis projects supporting veteran care improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in federal/government data analysis
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical analysis tools
- Expert knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau/Power BI)
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and VA systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive reporting
- Active federal security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with AWS/GCP cloud data platforms
