Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to support homeland security operations
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for senior leadership using Tableau and Power BI
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (FISMA, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to produce strategic reports and threat assessments
- Implement statistical models to identify trends and anomalies in security-related data
- Maintain data integrity through rigorous quality control and validation processes
- Present findings to federal stakeholders through concise briefings and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience in government or regulated industries
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Expertise in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Familiarity with federal data standards and compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences
