Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for federal agencies using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (FISMA, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support federal reporting requirements
- Present findings to senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Maintain data integrity across federal systems using ETL processes
- Support disaster response data initiatives during Alaska's unique climate events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in federal data analysis or public sector analytics
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/Numpy), and statistical modeling
- Strong knowledge of federal data governance frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and big data tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Proven track record of delivering insights under tight deadlines
- Remote work experience with asynchronous collaboration tools
