Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets to inform policy decisions and program improvements
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau and Power BI
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (FISMA, OMB guidelines, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to streamline data collection and reporting processes
- Prepare detailed statistical reports for senior government stakeholders
- Implement data quality frameworks and validation protocols
- Support audits and reviews by federal oversight bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal data systems (USASpending.gov, DATA.gov, etc.)
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of federal compliance regulations and data security protocols
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP) or federal security clearance a plus
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
