Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to support agency decision-making
- Develop automated data pipelines ensuring compliance with federal security protocols (FISMA, NIST)
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Conduct statistical modeling and trend analysis for policy impact assessments
- Document methodologies and maintain audit trails for all data processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements for federal initiatives
- Stay current on evolving federal data regulations and reporting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in federal government data analysis or compliance
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical analysis tools
- Familiarity with federal data ecosystems (e.g., USAFacts, Data.gov) and security protocols
- Advanced data visualization skills with Tableau or Power BI
- Strong understanding of 5 CFR Part 2635 (Standards of Ethical Conduct)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Experience with geospatial data analysis and visualization (QGIS preferred)
