Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of disability claims to determine eligibility for federal benefits.
- Analyze medical and non-medical evidence to ensure compliance with federal regulations and SSA guidelines.
- Communicate complex information clearly and empathetically with claimants and their representatives.
- Document all case files meticulously to ensure audit readiness and legal compliance.
- Collaborate with legal and medical experts to resolve complex case discrepancies.
- Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience working in a federal, state, or municipal government environment is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations.
- Ability to work independently and reliably on a weekend shift schedule.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
