Responsibilities
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures in accordance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time to prevent data breaches.
- Conduct audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to security regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Train staff on security awareness and best practices for data protection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Professional certification required: CISSP, Security+, or GSEC.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal information security or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
