Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of federal network infrastructure and systems.
- Implement and maintain rigorous cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive government data.
- Conduct regular system audits and ensure full compliance with NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and federal security standards.
- Lead the migration and integration of legacy systems into modern cloud environments (AWS/Azure) while minimizing service disruption.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting, support, and training to federal staff and contractors.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and incident reports in accordance with federal record-keeping requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and drive project implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required; ability to obtain a clearance is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in federal IT environments, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, network architecture, hardware components, and software development lifecycles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment with strict adherence to protocols.
