Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure federal IT systems and network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical applications.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with federal standards such as NIST and FISMA.
- Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets, including procurement, installation, and disposal.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies that improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical training and support to federal staff on new systems and security procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with government stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or AWS Cloud Practitioner are highly preferred.
