Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal information systems during weekend shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime and data integrity.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Assist in the implementation of cybersecurity protocols and compliance with federal standards (NIST).
- Document system logs, incidents, and resolutions in accordance with VA IT policies.
- Collaborate with on-site support teams during weekday hours to address escalated issues.
- Conduct regular security audits and patch management on federal servers.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required for Federal employment.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or system engineering.
- Familiarity with Federal IT frameworks such as FedRAMP and ITIL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
