Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53 standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Monitor security operations center alerts and respond to incidents within SLA
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and federal security regulations
- Maintain documentation of security policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in IT security with federal/government experience preferred
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expert knowledge of network security protocols and tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and compliance scanning
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
