Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity frameworks for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security protocols
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices
- Monitor network security using SIEM tools and log analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in IT security operations or system administration
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
