Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols across federal networks
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security infrastructure using SIEM tools and incident response protocols
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans for critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on security initiatives and compliance
- Train federal personnel on security best practices and policy adherence
- Manage security incidents and lead forensic investigations when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT security compliance
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA standards
- Proficiency with security tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure)
