Responsibilities
- Design and implement cybersecurity frameworks for federal systems
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing
- Manage incident response protocols and security incident documentation
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal regulations
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Collaborate with cross-agency security teams on threat intelligence
- Monitor network security systems and respond to alerts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT security with federal systems
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of federal IT security policies and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Experience with cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure)
