Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on agency networks
- Lead incident response operations for security breaches and cyber threats
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security regulations
- Collaborate with DHS IT leadership on strategic security initiatives
- Monitor and analyze security logs using SIEM platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal or enterprise cybersecurity roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Experience with CIS Controls, NIST frameworks, and FISMA compliance
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and zero-trust architectures
- Secret security clearance with eligibility for Top Secret clearance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document complex security procedures
