Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of NIST cybersecurity frameworks across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response protocols for cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with state/local agencies on joint security initiatives
- Maintain compliance with FISMA, CUI, and FedRAMP requirements
- Mentor junior security analysts in federal security protocols
- Prepare executive briefings on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Active CISSP, Security+, or equivalent DoD-approved certification
- Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and network architecture
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional federal teams
- Knowledge of federal procurement processes and vendor management
