Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant security controls across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on DoD systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enhance national security posture
- Manage security certifications (e.g., FedRAMP, CMMC) for cloud and hybrid environments
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight)
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security roles
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+
- Expertise in risk assessment frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and zero-trust architecture
- Strong analytical skills for threat detection and mitigation
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
