The Role:
In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the maintenance, security, and optimization of critical federal IT infrastructure. You will work closely with senior analysts to ensure mission-critical systems remain operational 24/7.
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and manage federal network infrastructure and server environments.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for federal agency staff and contractors.
- Conduct regular system audits and compliance checks to meet federal standards (NIST/FISMA).
- Document technical procedures, system configurations, and incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and streamline workflows.
- Train junior staff on best practices for federal IT operations.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT support or government contracting.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), virtualization, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to government stakeholders.
