Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud services
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff across 15+ departments
- Coordinate system upgrades and compliance with federal IT standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Collaborate with VA leadership on digital transformation initiatives
- Document IT processes and maintain federal compliance documentation
- Lead incident response for system outages and security breaches
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with federal IT systems (VA/DOD/DoE preferred)
- Active Security+ CE or equivalent federal security certification
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass federal background check
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
