Job Summary:
You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting federal information systems and networks during the night shift. This includes detecting security anomalies, performing data backups, and ensuring compliance with federal security protocols (NIST).
Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network traffic and systems for security breaches and anomalies 24/7.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates on servers and workstations during off-peak hours.
- Respond to IT support tickets and resolve technical issues for federal employees remotely.
- Conduct regular audits of data access logs to ensure strict compliance with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over critical system statuses and pending issues.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities in the government ticketing system.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust (Secret) Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or cybersecurity.
- Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Cisco networking equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
