Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot federal IT systems and networks during evening and night hours to ensure 24/7 operational readiness.
- Respond to critical system alerts and incidents with speed and precision, escalating issues when necessary to the appropriate shift leads.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management, log analysis, and backup verification.
- Document all system activities, incidents, and resolutions in strict compliance with federal security standards.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams and remote support units to ensure seamless handovers of system status and pending issues.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) is required.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration, system support, or IT operations.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT security standards (e.g., NIST, DISA).
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a night-shift environment.
