Job Overview:
The IT Specialist will provide technical support, system administration, and cybersecurity assistance for various federal clients. You will ensure the integrity, availability, and security of critical data systems while maintaining high standards of compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal agency hardware and software systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Monitor system performance and security logs to detect and respond to potential cyber threats.
- Conduct user training on federal security protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations in accordance with federal documentation standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new federal IT systems and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related federal role.
- Familiarity with FISMA compliance and federal security standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-171).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
