Overview:
As a Federal IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for technical assistance, ensuring business continuity for our federal clients during off-peak hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal desktops, laptops, and network infrastructure.
- Manage and resolve IT helpdesk tickets with a focus on rapid response and high customer satisfaction scores.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex network issues during night shift operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security protocols, NIST standards, and data protection regulations.
- Conduct routine hardware installations, software updates, and patch management.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and user interactions in the ticketing system accurately.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to ensure seamless handover of ongoing technical issues.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration.
- Proven experience working night shifts in a professional or government environment.
- Familiarity with federal IT standards, ITIL framework, and government contract requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
