Responsibilities
- Monitor federal facility surveillance systems during overnight hours to detect security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises to ensure compliance with federal security protocols
- Respond to emergency situations including alarms, medical incidents, and potential threats
- Document all security incidents, patrol activities, and equipment maintenance in federal reporting systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during cross-jurisdictional investigations
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and access control systems
- Train junior security personnel on federal compliance procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain Federal Facility Clearance (FFC) certification
- Proficiency in surveillance systems and access control software
- Physical ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and de-escalation training
