As a Night Shift Security Specialist, you'll be the guardian of our nation's assets while most of the city sleeps. Responsibilities
- Conduct nightly patrols and surveillance of federal facilities using advanced security systems
- Monitor CCTV feeds and respond immediately to security breaches or suspicious activities
- Enforce federal access control protocols and verify credentials of personnel/visitors
- Document security incidents with detailed reports and coordinate with law enforcement
- Operate specialized security equipment including biometric scanners and alarm systems
- Participate in emergency response drills for overnight scenarios
- Maintain strict compliance with DHS security directives and NIMS protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active or eligible for federal security clearance
- Minimum 2 years security experience with night shift or 24/7 operations
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficient in security technology systems (CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring)
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS fitness-for-duty certification
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Knowledge of federal facility security standards (FIPS 201)
