Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol federal premises to detect security breaches
- Enforce access control protocols and verify credentials for personnel/visitors
- Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents and security threats
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement agencies during investigations
- Conduct regular equipment checks and ensure facility integrity
- Train junior security staff on federal compliance procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Nebraska Security Guard license (or obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with CCTV systems and access control software
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
