Responsibilities
- Monitor Systems: Continuously monitor federal surveillance and IT systems to ensure 100% operational uptime during night shifts.
- Incident Response: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues or security alerts that arise during off-hours and escalate to senior staff when necessary.
- Data Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of system performance, outages, and maintenance activities in accordance with federal compliance standards.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict security protocols and access control procedures to protect sensitive federal data and facilities.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine physical and digital inspections of equipment to prevent failures and ensure safety compliance.
- Communication: Liaise with day-shift teams to hand over critical information and ensure seamless operational continuity.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess (or be eligible to obtain) a Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, network operations, or technical monitoring within a government or defense-related environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required by federal schedules.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in monitoring software, remote diagnostic tools, and standard office equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical inspections of facility areas.
