We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Case Manager to support our regional operations. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of professionals dedicated to enforcing federal labor standards and assisting employees. You will be the face of the Department in the Kansas City community, providing essential guidance and support to our stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Case Management: Oversee and manage a caseload of federal labor cases, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and filed within strict federal deadlines.
- Client Support: Provide exceptional service to claimants and employers by answering inquiries regarding rights, benefits, and procedural requirements via phone and email.
- Compliance Monitoring: Conduct preliminary research and data analysis to verify compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other federal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise electronic and physical records for all assigned cases, ensuring strict confidentiality and data integrity.
- Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings, stakeholder forums, and training sessions to stay updated on policy changes.
- Report Generation: Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly statistical reports regarding case outcomes and regional compliance metrics.
- Outreach: Participate in community outreach events in the Kansas City area to promote awareness of federal labor rights and available resources.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or national of the United States.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, case management, or a related role within the public sector or legal field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn federal case management software quickly.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex federal regulations to a non-technical audience.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearance check as required by federal employment standards.
