Responsibilities
- Process and maintain confidential veteran benefit documentation with 99% accuracy
- Coordinate with federal agencies to resolve veteran inquiries within 24 hours
- Manage digital filing systems ensuring HIPAA and VA compliance
- Assist veterans with benefit applications and eligibility verification
- Generate monthly reports for program evaluation using federal databases
- Support outreach initiatives for underserved veteran communities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 1 year clerical experience in federal/state/local government
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA) or similar federal databases
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of veteran benefits programs (GI Bill, VHA, etc.)
- Excellent written communication skills for official correspondence
