Your Role
As a Federal Part-Time Specialist, you will serve as the face of our department, handling sensitive documentation and providing exceptional service to employees and applicants alike.
Responsibilities
- Process federal employment applications and verify documentation for compliance with regulations.
- Maintain and update personnel files and records with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the administration of the agency's pension plan and retirement benefits for eligible staff.
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding leave, pay, and benefits via phone and email.
- Prepare reports for senior management regarding workforce statistics and personnel changes.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure data protection protocols are met.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required for most federal positions.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support or human resources.
- Familiarity with federal employment laws, regulations, and OPM guidelines is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and federal HR software systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professionalism.
