Responsibilities
- Calculate and process federal pension requests and retirement benefits accurately and timely.
- Review and analyze employee records to determine eligibility for pension plans and disability benefits.
- Provide exceptional customer service to veterans and federal retirees regarding their inquiries.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal laws, regulations, and internal agency policies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all pension transactions.
- Collaborate with HR specialists and finance teams to resolve complex benefit discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in federal retirement legislation and pension policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2 years of experience in benefits administration, pension processing, or government services.
- Strong knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) is highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with the public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
