Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize federal pension plans in compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Conduct complex benefit calculations for multi-employer retirement systems
- Develop retirement education materials for federal employees nationwide
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on pension policy implementation
- Lead audits of pension fund assets and investment portfolios
- Manage pension transition programs for federal agency mergers
- Provide expert testimony on pension legislation to congressional committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Public Administration
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Federal Benefits Certification (FBC) or equivalent credentials
- Advanced knowledge of TSP, FERS, and CSRS systems
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Oracle HCM, ADP)
- Security clearance eligibility or current clearance
- Experience with multi-state pension compliance requirements
