Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with OPM regulations and ERISA standards
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and distribution requests
- Conduct audits of pension portfolios and financial records
- Develop educational materials for federal employees on retirement planning
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments on pension strategy
- Manage vendor relationships for pension investment oversight
- Prepare quarterly reports for congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (TSP, FERS, CSRS)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Federal Benefits Specialist certification
- Expertise in ERISA, OPM regulations, and pension compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension management software
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
