Responsibilities
- Manage federal pension plan portfolios ensuring regulatory compliance with ERISA and IRS guidelines
- Analyze retirement benefit structures and recommend optimization strategies for federal employees
- Coordinate with OPM and Treasury on pension fund administration and reporting
- Conduct risk assessments for pension investment portfolios and actuarial projections
- Develop educational materials for federal employees on retirement planning options
- Collaborate with HR departments on pension enrollment and benefit transitions
- Prepare comprehensive annual reports for congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and TSP regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, Workday)
