Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal pension plans, including enrollment, calculations, and disbursements.
- Analyze employee data to determine eligibility for FERS, CSRS, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) benefits.
- Ensure strict compliance with OPM (Office of Personnel Management) regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and resolve complex payroll/benefit issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical guidance to federal employees regarding retirement options.
- Collaborate with HR teams and payroll departments to ensure seamless integration of pension data.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for federal oversight and audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal benefits administration, pension management, or HR.
- Deep understanding of FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) and CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System).
- Strong working knowledge of Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) rules and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with HRIS software (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, Workday).
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and compliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
