Responsibilities
- Analyze pension plan documents for ERISA compliance and regulatory adherence
- Conduct on-site audits of multi-employer and private pension plans
- Develop corrective action plans for plan deficiencies
- Provide guidance to plan sponsors and trustees on fiduciary responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with legal teams to resolve complex pension disputes
- Train pension administrators on regulatory updates and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration or ERISA compliance experience
- Current certification as ERISA Fiduciary Advisor (CFA) or similar designation
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Alight, Benefitfocus)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and DOL guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to complex financial data
