Responsibilities
- Administer complex federal pension plans (FERS, CSRS) ensuring compliance with federal regulations and OPM guidelines
- Conduct benefit calculations, eligibility determinations, and retirement counseling for federal employees nationwide
- Develop and implement data-driven pension administration strategies using SAP HR and federal systems
- Collaborate with Treasury, GAO, and congressional stakeholders on pension policy initiatives
- Lead cross-functional projects modernizing pension operations and digital service delivery
- Prepare comprehensive reports for OPM leadership and congressional oversight committees
- Mentor junior specialists on pension regulations and fiduciary responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in pension administration, benefits management, or federal HR
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS/CSRS) and OPM regulations
- Proficiency in federal HRIS systems (e.g., NSPS, PEO) and data analytics tools
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-SCP, or federal pension credentials)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex regulations
- Top Secret security clearance eligibility (required for federal service)
- Experience with congressional reporting and stakeholder communications
