Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans (CSRS/FERS) ensuring compliance with 5 U.S.C. regulations
- Process complex retirement applications and benefit calculations for federal employees
- Conduct audits of pension accounts to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Develop policy guidance for federal agencies on pension plan administration
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on pension system modernization initiatives
- Respond to congressional inquiries and stakeholder communications on pension matters
- Lead training programs for federal HR professionals on pension regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of pension plan administration experience in federal sector
- Expert knowledge of CSRS/FERS regulations and OPM guidelines
- Professional certification (e.g., QKA, CEBS) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., PRISM, BENEFITS)
- Ability to interpret complex federal statutes and regulatory guidance
- Top Secret security clearance eligibility required
