Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive compliance reviews of multi-employer and single-employer pension plans
- Analyze complex financial reports and actuarial valuations for regulatory compliance
- Investigate potential violations of pension regulations and recommend corrective actions
- Develop educational materials for plan sponsors and participants on retirement security
- Collaborate with legal teams on enforcement actions and regulatory interpretations
- Represent the department in stakeholder meetings and public forums
- Monitor emerging trends in pension legislation and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of pension plan administration or regulatory compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, PBGC regulations, and IRS pension code requirements
- Proficiency in pension valuation software and financial analysis tools
- Strong investigative skills with attention to detail and documentation
- Ability to interpret complex financial and legal documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Federal background investigation eligibility required
